Tick Tock - how's your inner clock?
Is your inner clock on time?
There is a bit of folk lore at my place about time management.... I prefer to look at it as extreme multi-tasking, but my husband assures me its got more to do with "running out of time and being late".
It could just be a matter of different definitiions...
It's a bit of a quandry because I like to think I'm on top of everything and just getting it all done. But unfortunately sometimes this means that I don't quite leave the house when I thought I would, or worse, arrive when I should have. But on the bright side, I've normally done an extra five things that needed doing and haven't forgotten too much along the way!
I think people fall into two categories. The ones who are "never late" (my husband and his entire family) and the ones who "will just do one more thing before I go". Obviously it's group #2 who struggle the most with punctuality. (This is my family - it could well be a genetic issue I'm dealing with here.)
Whichever category you fall into, now is a good time to look at the clock! What I'm slowly learning is that my compulsive action-orientated multi-tasking, needs to be balanced with respect for my next activity. In other words - give yourself time to get there, sit and think and enjoy.
